Middle School Math Classes Complete Marshmallow Challenge

Indian Creek Middle School math students recently engaged in a fierce competition, as they worked in teams to complete the 2021 Marshmallow Challenge.  Ms. Leasure's students worked together in small groups as they sought to build the tallest free-standing structure possible, using only 20 pieces of spaghetti, one arm's length of masking tape, one arms length of string, and a pair of scissors.  Students had 18 minutes to build a structure that would hold one big marshmallow on top.  While the results of the challenge were all impressive, at the end of the day sixth graders Ivy, Mide, and Fletcher, representing Ms. Leasure's Pre-Algebra class, were declared the winners!
