Eagles Baseball Clinches Lead in Seventh for Playoff Victory Over Glenelg

The Indian Creek Eagles took a lead in the seventh inning, and defeated the Glenelg Country Dragons 11-5 on Tuesday in an MIAA B Conference playoff game.  The game was tied at five with the Eagles batting in the top of the seventh when sophomore Nicholas Pratt tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Glenelg scored three runs in the fifth inning, but the Eagles still managed to pull out the victory.  The Eagles got on the board in the first inning when Pratt grounded into a double play, scoring one run. Freshman Kenny Cook was credited with pitching the victory for Indian Creek. The hurler surrendered one run on four hits over two innings, walking zero.

Indian Creek totaled 16 hits.  Alex Seidleck '21, Evan Selmer '21, Riley Handwerger '24, Pratt, and Sawyer Shepherd '24 each racked up multiple hits for Indian Creek Eagles Varsity.  Handwerger, Selmer, and Seidleck all had three hits to lead Indian Creek.
