Lukas Hummer Wins 2021 Pi Recitation Contest with 104 Digits

On Friday, March 26, Indian Creek students in grades 6-8 upheld the long-standing school tradition of competing in a Pi Digit recitation contest. This year's competition came down to a photo-finish, as the panel of faculty and Mu Alpha Theta judges reviewed video of the recitation to rule on the 2021 champion.  Seventh grader Lukas Hummer won the title with 104 correct digits of Pi, with Izzy Sussman '26 placing second with 98 digits and January Bear '27 coming in third with 80 digits of Pi. The finalists each won a gift certificate to Dangerously Delicious Pies in Annapolis. Congratulations to this year's winners!
