"Where I'm From": Eighth Grade Students Create Poems Modeled after George Ella Lyon's Work

This week, students in Mr. Bucci's eighth grade English classes were challenged to create “Where I’m From” poems, modeling the poem of the same title written by George Ella Lyon. The purpose was to use figurative language and imagery to explain their backgrounds and upbringings. Mr. Bucci was thrilled with the depth and creativity shown by his students in their works.
