STEM Guest Lecturer Casey Corkin Shares Advances in Satellite Technology
ICS STEM students enjoyed a conversation with guest lecturer and Data Scientist Casey Corkin this morning.
Mr. Corkin, who also serves as Head Coach of the ICS JV Boys Basketball Team, gave Upper School STEM students an inside peek into the professional possibilities and discoveries created through the fields of Aerospace Engineering, Information Technology, and Data Science.
During his presentation, Mr. Corkin shared a wide variety of high-resolution satellite imagery and described how Geographic Information Systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning are used to extract insights around the world and beyond.
