Creek Graduates Share Insight at Annual Alumni College Panel

Six Indian Creek alumni who are currently in college connected with the Upper School student body through a virtual Alumni College Panel on January 15 to share their unique perspectives on many aspects of their college search and application process.  The alumni discussed factors they considered when applying to and searching for schools, how they chose where to go to college, why their schools are the right fit for them, their areas of study, adjusting to college life, being far away from family, managing their time, and more.

Panelists included: Maeve Drury ’19 who is studying International Relations and French at the University of San Diego (CA), Brandon Harris ’18 who is studying philosophy with a pre-med track and is the student body president at Davidson College (NC), Colleen Shrum ’19 who is studying biological sciences on the pre-med track at the University of South Carolina (SC),  Joey Sisle ’19 who is studying aviation management and playing club hockey at Purdue University (IN), Alonzo Strickland ’18 who is studying exercise science at Salisbury University (MD), and Paige Wells ’18 who is studying sociology and education and playing Division III basketball at the College of Wooster (OH).

Seventh through twelfth grade students heard a variety of perspectives from recent graduates to help inform their college application process. Best of all, the alumni closed the meeting by sharing the many different ways that Indian Creek prepared them academically and personally to be successful in college.
