2021-22 Academic Visioning Plans Announced

As Indian Creek looks forward to opening the 2021-22 school year all together on one campus, Head of School Booth Kyle shared plans for the School's unified campus academic structure. In order to deliver the best academic program possible for all ICS students, significant renovations and an addition to the school building will take place to create several "neighborhoods" of students. A Lower School neighborhood will accommodate Pre-K – grade 5, while a newly distinct Middle School program will benefit students in  grades 6-8.  Students in grades 9-12 will form the Upper School, as the culmination of the Indian Creek experience.

In his message on December 8, Mr. Kyle announced the leadership plan for each of the Pre-K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 divisions. Jen Malachowski will continue as leader of our pre-primary and elementary grades, Matt McCormick will focus his leadership on the 6-8 middle grades program, and Eliza McLaren will become our 9-12 principal, adding this responsibility to her role as Associate Head of School.

Mr. Kyle invited the Indian Creek community to share in his excitement for the School's future.  "I could not be happier to have this world-class trio leading our students and faculty. In the span of the first four months of this school year they have already proven to be a dynamic and effective team that consistently puts the best interests of our students at the forefront of every decision. They are also a future-focused group that will undoubtedly use the remainder of this academic year to plan for what will certainly be a triumphant year for our school - where we will celebrate being on one unified campus. I hope you share my enthusiasm for these leaders in this construct."

The community is invited to a special Academic Visioning Creek Conversation event on Thursday, December 10, at 4:00 p.m. where school administrators will share more information about plans for 2021-22. During this session, the School's academic leaders will share their excitement, vision, and goals for their specific divisions, some plans about the daily academic schedule at each level, and an exciting new addition to the academic program: our Learning Lab.
