An Extraordinary Time! Indian Creek School Campus Unification Project Momentum Continues
These are extraordinary times at Indian Creek School. Throughout an unusual year at ICS and beyond, the momentum towards our goal of being OneCreek – one school, on one campus – has continued to move forward. The ICS Board of Trustees has continued to devote great care, thought, and work into ensuring that our Lower and Upper Schools will be united on one campus next year. The goals of our OneCreek project are to unify the campuses, solidify the School’s financial underpinnings, and continue providing an outstanding and personalized academic experience for every student. At this week's Creek Conversation, Head of School Booth Kyle, Board Chair Chris Mannix, and Trustee Julius Smith announced that this is exactly what the school is going to do.
The group shared the School's plan to bring Pre-K3 through grade 6 to the campus on Anne Chambers Way for the start of the 2021-22 school year. This plan: • Realizes the vision of OneCreek • Shares a plan that has benefits for every student at ICS • Designs dedicated spaces for all PK-12 grade levels • Creates flexible, community oriented, collaborative learning spaces • Supports a wide range of artistic, athletic, and extra-curricular opportunities • Meets our goal of opening by August 2021
Being a part of students’ lives for 15 years, or their high school years, or something in between is an incredible honor. Indian Creek is dedicated to building a school and program that is worthy of this privilege. The goal of Indian Creek's one-campus plan is to create a school which will become an extension of every community member’s home, where we can all come to learn together.
Look for the unveiling of the OneCREEK Campus Unification project website, and a video recording of Thursday's Creek Conversation to be shared on Monday.
