"Best Class, Hands Down:" The Class of 2020 Enjoys Senior Breakfast Together

The ICS Class of 2020 (also known as "the Best Class Hands-Down") woke up to a special treat and messages of pride from their teachers, coaches, and families, as they celebrated their senior breakfast on Friday, May 1.  Custom ICS donuts, created by Donut Shak in Severna Park were delivered to start the seniors' day on a sweet note!  Over 100 seniors, teachers, coaches, and well-wishers gathered for a virtual Senior Breakfast to celebrate the class.

Head of School Booth Kyle addressed the seniors, emphasizing that "This experience has provided your class with the gift of learning what it means to be resilient. While this isn't the senior spring that we would have chosen for your class, you will come out of this as stronger and better people for it. You will go on to make a difference in our world.  We miss you. We love you. And we're really excited to continue to celebrate you over the next month."  Teachers and students took turns sharing memories and celebrating the role that Class of 2020 has played in the ICS community.  Upper School Head Matt McCormick lauded the senior class  for being exceptional self-advocates, always standing up for their beliefs in mature and genuine ways.  Attendees shared memories of the everyday banter between the seniors and faculty, the senior class seafoam green fleeces taking over the school, the whole-school spirit that the Class of 2020 brought to assemblies, pep rallies, and CREEKfest, and many other antics for which the seniors have been known.  "Thank you to our amazing faculty. I didn’t realize how much I would miss Indian Creek until I wasn’t able to be there," shared senior Ashley Damm.
