Creekers Replicate Famous Portraits

The Los Angeles-based museum, The J. Paul Getty Museum, has been making headlines in the US from their Twitter-Issued challege to "Recreate Artwork with Household Items." They were inspired by a similar challenge at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Indian Creek Art teacher Maryjo Paz y Miño knew that her fourth through sixth grade students could rise to this challenge, as she invited them to create replicas of famous portraits.  The students more than responded with a spectacular array of recreations. Way to go Creekers! Check out this gallery of our Creekers' Famous Portrait Recreations.
