Our hearts are at the Creek on Valentine's Day - and every day! February 14, 2020 gave Indian Creek students, parents, and grandparents an extra-special reason to show their Creek Love, through a day full of Valentine's celebrations.
Seventh through twelfth grade students were greeted by a gesture of love from the Upper School PTO, as sweet treats and kind smiles awaited them when they arrived to school in the morning.
Seventh and eighth grade students invited their loved ones to school for a special Grandparents and Special Guests celebration, which included performances, games, and the opportunity to have photos taken with special Valentine mementos. Upper School Head Matt McCormick encouraged both grandparents and students to be sure to give each other a hug before the end of the day.
The Lower School was full of Valentines fun as well, with parties and celebrations happening campus-wide. Fourth through sixth grade students celebrated the day with a trip to Annapolis Bowl, where they cheered each other on during a fun round of bowling and a beloved pizza snack.
First through third grade class parties were planned with love by class parents. First grade enjoyed STEM activities, story time and more, while the second grade classroom transformed into an Escape Room. The Class of 2030 had to work together to solve clues and escape the valentine caper. Third grade had a goopy, silly, time creating balloon rockets and making slime together. These parties all culminated in the traditional valentine exchange!
Pre-K and Kindergarten students also celebrated the day with parties in the morning. Delicious snacks, fun games, and parent visitors made the morning extra sweet for our youngest Creekers.
