Izzy Sussman '26 Wins ICS Geo Bee Title

"Ascension Island is located in the South Atlantic and is part of an overseas territory of what country?"

Can you answer this final question from the Geo Bee?!? The National Geographic GeoBee is an annual competition designed to inspire and reward students' curiosity about the world.  Indian Creek sixth through eighth grade social studies classes held classroom competitions in order to send a class representative to the ICS Geo Bee. On Friday, January 17, the 11 classroom finalists competed to determine the Indian Creek Geo Bee Champion who will go on to represent ICS at the county competition next month. Sixth grade phenom Izzy Sussman earned this honor, with seventh grade student Sophia O'Connell earning the runner-up title, and eighth grader Natalie Swope coming in third place.  Good luck to Izzy in the upcoming regional competition!
