Pre-K4 "Travels the Globe" to Make the Best Apple Pie

This week, the Indian Creek Class of 2033 has "traveled the globe" (through literature and technology) to find the best ingredients to make an apple pie! The Pre-K 4 class traveled to England for diary cows and had to milk them to get the freshest milk. They then sailed to Sri Lanka to cut bark from the kurundu tree to grind into cinnamon. After this, they flew to Vermont to pick some of the best apples from the orchard, which we peeled, cored and cut for our recipe. The children celebrated the story by making their own delicious batch of homemade applesauce!
