Elàn Martin '22 Selected as U.S. Youth Ambassador to the Dominican Republic

Congratulations to Indian Creek freshman Elàn Martin who has been selected as a 2019 U.S. Youth Ambassador to the Dominican Republic! Elàn was selected in the top five of applicants from around the United States after successfully interviewing with Georgetown University. Through the U.S. Department of States, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, World Learning and Georgetown University, she will train in Florida for several days, then study abroad for three weeks this summer working on service projects, community development, youth leadership and social entrepreneurship, all while speaking Spanish with the natives in Santiago, Jarabaco and Constanza.
