Creekers Enjoy "Healthy Kids Running Race" Series

On Sunday, April 7, several Indian Creek Lower School students participated in the first race of the “Healthy Kids Running Race” series, held at Anne Arundel Community College. The Healthy Kids Running Series is a national, community-based non-profit that provides a fun, inclusive, five-week running series for ages 2-14 designed to get kids active, experience accomplishment and lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. (More information can be found at this link.)

Pre-Kindergarten 3 student Wesley Werner, Pre-Kindergarten 4 student Micah Morgan, third grade students Anna Johnson, Maxwell Morgan, and Sean Murrell all ran their hearts out in this week's race. Micah even won first place in the 50 yard dash for his age group! Many of the kids plan to continue to race weekly throughout the series, alongside their friends. Way to go Creekers!
