Reese Fortier
Reese Fortier, Class of 2020, is a student who values her education and understands the importance of giving back to her community.

Reese challenges herself academically, maintaining a 4.15 GPA, and she is a member of the National Honor Society and the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanicá. Her current class schedule includes AP Language and Composition, AP US History, AP Environmental Science, AP Spanish and Journalism. She serves as the co-editor of the yearbook. Reese was captain of the ICS Varsity Volleyball Team, helping to lead her team to the championship in its first year in the IAAM League.

Outside the classroom, Reese has found her passion in volunteering. She spent time last summer attending a global health initiative trip to Haiti, where the focus was to build a vocational school for local children. Reese has recently begun to raise awareness at ICS about anxiety, not just its causes and effects, but what people can do about it. She is hosting a showing of the film “Angst” to students, faculty, and parents as well as leading a panel discussion with both students and professionals.

In all these activities, Reese leads by example, showing us not only the importance of academics, but also of taking care of the people around her.
