Second Grade Enjoys Ballet Theatre of Maryland's "Snow White"

As a wonderful conclusion to their language arts unit on "Rich and Poor", the Indian Creek School Class of 2029 attended the Ballet Theatre of Maryland's opening performance of "Snow White." This was a wonderful cultural and artistic experience at the Historic Maryland Hall Center for the Performing Arts. The show had everything to capture the imaginations of the second grade students, including exquisite dancing, fairies, dragons, poison apples, the seven dwarfs, magic mirrors, and our very own second grader, Alex Owen, as a woodland hedgehog. Following their own dramatic production of Dinostars, it was a real treat for students to see such a masterful, diverse, and all inclusive ballet of both young and veteran dancers and artists. The class even enjoyed a talk back with some of the performers after the show!
