Melanie Morgan '30 Has All Star Dance Weekend

Congratulations to Indian Creek first grade student Melanie Morgan on a HUGE weekend of all-star dancing accomplishments. On Friday, February 8, Melanie performed center court her fourth halftime show for the NBA Washington Wizards Wiz Kidz dance team.  She performs at home games at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. (Mel is one of the youngest dancers in the group and plans to return next season as a captain!)

Then, on Saturday, February 9, Melanie competed in the Onstage America Competition held on Laurel, Maryland, where she won Solo Title in her age group, performing two original solo pieces, and later dancing three group pieces that were also awarded first place in group. Melanie has been a company member of Spotlight Studio of Dance since 2013. Way to go Melanie!
