Laila Ivey '22 Named to Pro-Volleyball's Frosh 59 List

Indian Creek Eagles Volleyball standout, Laila Ivey '22, has been named to the esteemed prepvolleyball.com FROSH 59 list. A list of the nation’s most outstanding high school varsity-playing volleyball freshmen for the 2018 fall season. To be considered for this Frosh 59 list, a freshman needed to be a varsity starter and one of the top talents in her area during the fall season. This honor means that Laila has been recognized as one of the 59 best freshman volleyball players in the United States this year!

Laila Ivey, 5-11 OH, Indian Creek Schools (Crownsville, Maryland) – Ivey is considered by her high school coach as the “Court Beast” for her ability to intimidate opponents with her 10-1 rise and power game. She averaged more than 20 kills per match as a high school freshman and was a First Team All-Anne Arundel County and First Team All-Conference pick. For the year, Ivey recorded 239 kills, 103 blocks, 91 digs and 43 aces. She works hard, leads by word and deed and is the most electrifying player in her conference.  Congratulations Laila!
