Community Update from Head of School 3.3.2021

Dear Indian Creek School Community,

Monday was an historic and symbolic day for Indian Creek School, as we officially broke ground on our campus unification project. This pivotal moment provided an opportunity to look forward to the many ways that the building renovation and addition will serve to strengthen our community and fulfill our commitment to provide an innovative, personalized, well-rounded education for all ICS students on one campus. While the ground breaking ceremony was kept to a small number attendees in order to adhere to gathering and distancing mandates, we look forward to holding a grand, community-wide Ribbon Cutting celebration when the project is complete.

This ceremony gave me an opportunity to pause and reflect on what an extraordinary moment this is for every member of the Indian Creek community. I remember my initial impression of ICS in 2018, as I first drove down the winding driveway and took in the tranquil wooded campus: “WOW.” When I visited the original Evergreen Campus, I began to understand the magic of Indian Creek. ICS has always been a school rooted in connections, where you can be who you are, discover who you want to be, and become who you are meant to be.

We are building a new Indian Creek School with the magic of our Founders, the dogged belief in the mission of our staff and Trustees, the support of friends, and the success of our students. While the events of the past 12 months have been trying, this community has come together and found a way forward. Much like my first reaction was when I drove onto campus – “WOW.” Well done Indian Creek School!

Announcing Summer Term 2021!
We are pleased to announce Summer Term 2021 - a catalog of exciting online summer enrichment opportunities for curious and engaged students in grades 1-12. ICS Summer Term courses provide opportunities for students to strengthen their academic foundation, immerse themselves in areas of interest, and propel themselves forward academically. Our 10 Summer Term courses will combine the flexibility of online learning with the personalization of in-person learning.

While ICS is unable offer on-campus summer camp this year due to campus-wide construction, we look forward to bringing our Camp Program back – better than ever in Summer 2022!
