8th Grade Trip to the Holocaust Museum and World War II Memorial

In connection with our study of World War II and the Holocaust, Indian Creek eighth graders will participate in a field trip to the World War II Memorial and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Feb 21, 2020.
 
All exhibits are free, but students will need money to purchase lunch.
 
Planned itinerary:
 
8:30 am Gather in Loft
 
8:45 am Leave ICS Upper School campus. Trip will leave promptly. Please be sure to arrive for school on time!
 
9:45 am Arrive in Washington D.C.
 
10:00 am Walk to and tour the Holocaust Memorial Museum
 
12:15 pm Walk to the Ronald Regan Building for lunch in their Food Court – Students need to bring money for lunch!
 
1:15 pm Walk to World War II Memorial
 
1:45 pm Walk to bus for pick up
 
2:00 pm Depart Washington D.C.
 
3:15 p.m. Return to ICS Upper School Campus
 
 
Students should be aware of weather conditions on the day of the trip and prepare accordingly. We will go on the trip rain or shine. Students are to wear ICS uniforms, but should wear shoes and outerwear appropriate to the weather.
 
Students should NOT bring any large bags or backpacks and should avoid bringing any items that will slow the group in security screenings. Students are reminded to bring money ($20 is advised) for lunch!
