Junior Class College Tour

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Welcome to an important part of your student’s Indian Creek School experience! The beginning of each school year brings with it class trips. This is an opportunity for students to work and play cooperatively with fellow students and staff members. The key themes of each trip are respect, responsibility, and risk. Respect and responsibility for self, peers, others, and the environment are the hallmarks of these class trips. Combining these two themes with an element of safe and healthy intellectual and physical risk, students are expected to challenge themselves to try something new and different with the support of their classmates in an effort to create a better, stronger community at Indian Creek.

The following information is meant to assist you and your student in planning for the upcoming class trips. All students are expected to participate in the trips in lieu of their regular school attendance. I hope your student will enjoy their experience away from home and school, and return full of stories about the learning and bonding that occurred for them outside of the classroom!

Please note that your child also MUST have his/her health forms and general ICS Permission and Special Instructions form on file in order to participate in the trips. No trip specific permission form is needed. If your child will need to have medication administered on the trip, you must have the Prescription Medication Authorization Form filled out by your child’s doctor. The form and his/her medication in its original container should be brought to school at least one day prior to the trip.

Sincerely,

Back
