Planning for 2020-21: Rising Kindergarten Parent Information Session
Rising Kindergarten parents are invited to join Lower School Head Jennifer Malachowski and Director of Early Childhood Barb Oglesbee for a conversation surrounding our planning for the 2020-21 school year.
This session will specifically address the Kindergarten experience at Indian Creek School. We will talk about the transition from Kindergarten to First Grade, the curriculum, and the physical, social, and emotional growth during the Kindergarten year. We will also highlight the Virtual School for our Kindergarten students and talk about plans for next year.
Whatever fall of 2020-21 brings, Indian Creek School will provide a safe, mission-consistent, flexible, and student-centered program. Current planning initiatives include models for smaller group instruction, a project-based learning orientation that fits in-person, blended, and virtual settings, and an enhanced focus on Social-Emotional learning with Equity and Inclusion as a priority.
