Take a global adventure through underwater ecosystems teeming with diverse and colorful life. ICS’ first grade teacher, Ms. Allen, has blended her technical expertise with the experiences and knowledge she gained last summer in Australia as a 2018 Fund for Teachers Fellow.
Online tools paired with hands-on discovery will immerse young explorers in a vast array of coral reef ecosystems. They will investigate animals associated with coral reefs, problems today’s reefs face, and even Skype with a sea turtle rehabilitation specialist. With the wonderment in full effect, students will then move from discovery to stewardship as they share with our ICS community the lessons and solutions they have uncovered.
