Sophia O'Connell '25 Raises Funds for Cancer Research through "October Saves" Goalie Challenge

Indian Creek School is proud of sixth grade student Sophia O'Connell, who participated in the "October Saves" Goalie Challenge through her Metro Maple Leafs travel hockey team last month. Each fall, goalies from across North America collect pledges for every save they make in the month of October, resulting in thousands of dollars donated toward finding a cure, and a strong Goalie Nation of community minded leaders is created both on and off the ice. Sophia made 42 saves in three games, raising just over $500 for cancer research. Way to go Sophia!
