Second and Third Grades Journey "Around the Globe" with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra

Our second and third grade students took a trip “Around the Globe” on Thursday, February 8, as they travelled to the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall to enjoy a concert by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. This performance invited the children to “become global citizens by joining on a journey of music from a variety of regions around the world.” Musical selections include Arturo Márquez’s "Conga del Fuego" and "The Butterfly Lovers’ Violin Concerto." The students loved the music, and the magic of hearing all of the orchestral instruments work together.
