38 Creekers Take the Plunge! Raise over $4,000 for Special Olympics

On the frigid morning of Thursday, January 25, 38 brave, civic-minded Indian Creek School students, and four dedicated faculty members headed to Sandy Point State Park to participate in the Polar Bear Plunge – Cool School Challenge. Loaded with sweatshirts, robes, and other warm clothes, the Creekers joined over 3,600 plungers to create a festive atmosphere and immersed themselves into the 32-degree Chesapeake Bay to support the Maryland Special Olympics! This is the first year that eighth grade students joined the Indian Creek plungers, and all involved had a great time. Special thanks go out to Kaitlyn Kokoski '19, Michael Mercer '20, and Christopher Kokoski '22 for organizing the Indian Creek team. As of today, Indian Creek students have raised over $4,000 for the cause!
