Eli Fortier '22 Named Indian Creek Spelling Bee Champion

Congratulations to eighth grade student, Eli Fortier, for being crowned the 2018 Indian Creek School Spelling Bee Champion! Eli n was the last speller standing during the grades 6-8 ICS Bee on Thursday, January 11, with the winning word "statis." Seventh grade student (and 2017 Champion), Kamrynn Hobbs, took second place in this year's contest. Each grade 6-8 English class held an in-class bee, and the winners from each class had the opportunity to compete in the school competition in front of the entire Grades 6-8 student body. As the Indian Creek School Champion, Eli has the opportunity to compete in the Anne Arundel County Competition of the Scripps National Spelling Bee in late February. Congratulations Eli!
