Campus Connections: The Class of 2024 Visits the Upper School

The Class of 2024 had an awesome visit to the Upper School on Thursday, January 12, hosted by their seventh grade friends. The sixth grade students participated in a snow-making science lab, enjoyed cocoa and cinnamon rolls while learning the traditional Indian Creek School Snow Song, played icebreaker games in the gym, had a mini campus tour and Q&A session with upperclassmen, and enjoyed their first Upper School recess. This morning of activity was followed by lunch in the Upper School cafeteria, and then the Geo Bee and Spelling Bee for grades 6-8. The sixth grade students really enjoyed their visit to the Crownsville campus. As Paulina '24 shared, "I had a lot of fun during our visit to the Upper School. ICS is my school, but I learned things that I didn't know. I got to make new friends with my teammates during the activities, which was really cool. I am looking forward to seventh grade."  Hunter '24 agreed: "The day was really exciting for me. The seventh graders all seemed like they love being part of the Upper School. I was happy to learn that we will have a space of our own next year, and the time to just be seventh graders. I am really excited for next year." Thank you to the Class of 2023 and the Campus Connections team for hosting a wonderful event for the ICS sixth grade.
