Eagles Sailors Show Strong in A and B Divisions at Inter-League Event

On Saturday October 7, the Indian Creek Sailing Team, also known as "the Sailing Eagles," competed in an inter-league event hosted by the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, MD. The team finished ninth out of 18 in the competitive fleet.

Junior James Corckran, along with crews’ Will Morrissey '19 and Olivia Boucher '21, was able to hold his own in the competitive A-division with a pair of top-10 finishes.

The team also had a stand-out performance from junior Ally Snead, who finished the regatta with a second place finish in the B-Division, along with crews Cal Morris-Berlin '22 and Liam Gallagher '20. Ally commented after the race, “I’ve never gotten a first place before, it was so fun to finish ahead of fleet! I followed some great advice from (teammate) James and it worked!”

The Sailing Eagles can be seen sailing in the waters off Eastport Yacht Club after school on Tuesdays through Fridays. Congratulations to our Sailing Eagles!
