Eagles Equestrian Opens Season with Several First Place Ribbons

The Indian Creek Equestrian Team competed in its first show of the year on Sunday, September 24, at Oatland Stables in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Four Varsity and two Junior Varsity riders competed in three classes each. A class may have between 12 and 17 riders, and the judge awards first through sixth place. The team earns points based on the number of riders earning top places. Tatiana Bachara '20 and Annie Chalkley '21 both brought home first place ribbons in at least one class with teammates contributing to the team points with additional ribbons earned.   
 
The team is made up of nine members in total ranging from sixth grade through 12th grade; three on junior varsity, six on Varsity and is coached by Brittany Tice and Debbie Sanders of Enticement Stables at Obligation Farm. Indian Creek is part is the Inter School Horse Show Series league.
