Eagles Baseball Nabs Opening Day Win Over Pallotti
The Indian Creek Eagles won their home openier11-7 on Tuesday, March 30, against Pallotti.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Indian Creek Eagles Varsity collected ten hits and Pallotti seven in the high-scoring affair. Senior Alex Seidleck was credited with the victory for Indian Creek Eagles Varsity, while sophomore Alex Craig threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Craig recorded the last nine outs to earn the save. Indian Creek Eagles Varsity racked up ten hits in the game, with Seidleck, Craig, and Nicholas Pratt '23 each collected multiples.
This league victory followed Monday's 5-4 win over John Carroll in scrimmage play. Monday's game saw hits by Logan Harris '22, Julian Butler '23, Riley Handwerger '24, Seidleck, and Craig. Harris allowed zero hits and one run over two innings, striking out one. Senior Evan Selmer started the game, and Kenny Cook '24 and Logan Frazier '23 helped to close out the game in relief.
