For over 40 years, we’ve taken the latest research on how children learn best and applied it to what we do to provide a college-preparatory education that is both academically challenging and nurturing.
We are excited that you are considering Indian Creek School! ICS is a community of students and faculty, parents, alumni, and friends who believe deeply in our mission and philosophy. We are committed to fostering a love for learning and nurturing the individual interest of our students through our robust academic and extracurricular offerings.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BASE EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE ON RESEARCH?
At Indian Creek School, it means that everything the school does is informed by studies of how the brain works, how children learn best, and how people achieve success. The goal: to ensure that students benefit from the latest knowledge on the path to gaining a strong foundation for college and the rest of their lives.
Research has shown that integrating the arts throughout the curriculum enhances learning. Providing a strong arts education strengthens neural connections – more than enough reason to make the arts integral to the curriculum for students of all ages. At Indian Creek, the arts are for everyone, making our program especially vibrant as a result.
At Indian Creek, we see athletic competition as the means to many ends – foremost among them being the character-based qualities of sportsmanship, integrity, commitment, and a desire for individual improvement. Our coaches build mutually respectful relationships with students, upholding high expectations for hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude.
The tradition of generous support from alumni, parents of alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends began with Indian Creek’s founding in 1973 and continues today, over 40 years later. Every gift that you make to Indian Creek has a direct impact on the quality of education that the School offers to its students. Your generosity enables ICS’s ability to transform lives. Thank you for your gifts and your willingness to give in the future. Indian Creek depends on your support. Together, we make a difference in the lives of young people and how we shape them.
