Danielle Heffner '20 Named Youth of the Year

Congratulations to Indian Creek Senior Danielle Heffner for being named Youth of the Year by the Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation Association. On Wednesday, January 22, Danielle was presented with the Youth of the Year award, for her significant contributions to county recreation, sports, community, parks, and youth programs. 

Danielle has been a member of 4H for nine years, and has raised and competed with animals such as pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, turkeys, chickens, and even a cow. Danielle also plays a leadership role in her 4H group and the county 4H to help mentor others in their education, participation and projects.  She has also served as a "Friend of Kinder Farm Park" since its founding.  At Indian Creek, Danielle has been instrumental in the growth of the School's Equestrian team, helping the team develop from a small Junior Varsity team to a competitive Championship Varisty Team. She plans to attend Delaware Valley University next yera to pursue her passion of Animal Science.
