Biology Lab Transformed into Cemetery for Population Analysis

As Mrs. Tricia Roth's Biology students have come to know, sometimes a science lab doesn't look like a science lab. The class was enthralled as they entered the STEM lab on Wednesday, November 20, and found not their typical lab but instead ... a cemetery.

In order to give her students a "real life" experience in collecting information for population analysis, Mrs. Roth created a cemetery with a variety of grave markers giving limited information on the inhabitants of a town years ago. The students explored the graveyard, taking notes to collect population data and then analyzed their findings to come to educated conclusions about it's inhabitants.
