Creek Runners Sweep First Eight in Home Cross-Country Meet

The Indian Creek Eagles hosted the Calverton School for the first non-conference Cross Country meet of the year on Wednesday, September 25. This was one of only two home meets on the schedule for the team, so they approached the run filled with school pride.  Lead by a crew of eight first year runners, Creek swept the first eight places of the race en route to a 15 – 50 win.

The meet winner was senior Shaun Gerety with a personal best home course time of 22:41.  He was followed closely by fellow senior Sammy Carter (24:03) and sophomore Carter Herrman (24:13).  The Eagles will travel next Wednesday to Anne Arundel Community College to take on the Severn School and Boys Latin in its first “B” Conference meet of the year. Go Eagles!
