Ms. Allen '01 and Mr. Bear Present at Future of Education Technology Conference

While winter weather was approaching Indian Creek School this week, faculty members Ms. Sarah Allen '01 and Mr. Bear traveled to Orlando, Florida, to share their expertise through several presentations at the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC). The FETC conference brings together educators from around the world to learn from industry experts around topics of educational technology. Ms Allen and Mr. Bear presented two, two-hour, hands-on workshops on Literacy and Coding, as well as Design Thinking with young learners. Ms. Allen also presented two 40-minute sessions on doing research projects with young learners and Augmented Reality. In addition, she helped with the conference's Early Learning Digital Playground. Both Ms. Allen and Mr. Bear agree that presenting at FETC was a great experience, which gave them the opportunity to connect with the nation's premiere educators, who share their passion for innovative technology implementation.
