  • What should campers wear?

Because Maryland is hot and humid during the summer, campers should wear comfortable, light-weight clothes. They may wish to bring a sweater or sweatshirt with them as the air conditioning can be cool in the building. Students in certain specialty programs may have certain requirements such as the sports camps.
  • How does ICS Summer Programs handle changes and refunds?

    • Any changes made to your registration BEFORE May 1st will be refunded except the non-refundable deposit.
    • If any withdrawal requests are made BETWEEN May 1st and the start of camp, any camp fees that have been paid, excluding the non-refundable deposit, will be held on your account. These funds may be applied to future registrations for up to one year.
    • Once summer begins, any changes to registration must be made two weeks prior to the start of the enrolled session in order to receive a credit, which must be used by the following summer season.
    • Any refund or credit request must be in writing.
    • All refund and credit requests are subject to the discretion of the Program Director.
    • If the Summer Program at ICS closes due to State or local mandates related to COVID-19, registered families will receive a prorated refund for the days camp is closed.
    • If the Summer Program at ICS closes or cancels a camp for a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, families in those groups will receive a prorated refund for the days camp is closed.
    • If a camper cannot start a session because they are awaiting test results, a refund will be given once positive results have been shared with the camp director and prorated for the camp days missed.
    • If a camper or someone in their direct household tests positive for COVID-19 we will cancel your registration and you will receive a prorated refund for the remaining amount. Proof of a positive test must be provided to the camp director.
  • Is lunch provided?

    • This year we are happy to share that the chefs of SAGE dining [Indian Creek’s on-campus dining service] will be providing daily lunches with plenty of delicious and healthy options. Lunch is included in camp tuition.
    • Please note that students, regardless of age, are NOT allowed to leave campus for lunch.
    • Lunch is only an option for students who are participating in a full-day program.
  • Are snacks provided?

    • Your child should bring snacks for morning and afternoon each day.
    • Please also bring a water bottle.
    • Snacks are included during After Care.
  • Do I need to notify ICS if my child will be absent?

    • While it is not required, we do appreciate notice if a child will be absent so teachers can plan ahead. You may call or email to let us know about an absence or early pick-up.
    • Please note: If your child’s program is going on a field trip you must arrive by the time of departure. If you arrive late and miss the departure time your camper will not be allowed to stay as there is no childcare provided. Notice and information about field trip dates and times will be emailed home at least one week prior.
  • Does ICS offer transportation for the summer?

At this time, we do not offer transportation service to and from camp.
