“I realized that AP classes really taught me how to become a student. I learned to write better papers, give better presentations, manage my time wisely, and study for exams. My AP credits gave me just enough of a boost that after my first semester, I had sophomore standing, which meant I got a variety of perks: I could park my car on campus as a freshman, I got to select my next year’s classes earlier than everyone else… Coming into college with credits allows for more exploration of other interests in college courses, and, though it is teaching to a test, the rigorous work in AP classes really does prepare students for college.”
