Open to students entering Grades 11 & 12
4-Week Course: July 5 – 30
Writing about yourself can be challenging, especially when it is the only opportunity for an admissions officer to get to know the real you. This 4-week course helps students compose their college admission essay and provides them with a springboard to get ahead of the very busy, and sometimes stressful, college application process. Each week you will cultivate the tools necessary to develop and finish an essay ready to wow any college.
Participants will begin the course with an online meeting held on Monday, July 5. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory. During week three of the course, each student will schedule a skype-based one-on-one review of their essay with the course's instructor and ICS Upper School Humanities and Human Development Faculty member, Becca Derry.
