Varsity Boys Lacrosse Pulls Off Decisive Win Over Chapelgate 14-4

The Indian Creek Eagles Varsity Boys Lacrosse team pulled off a decisive victory on the road against Chapelgate Christian, winning 14-4.

Senior Brian Lord scored four goals for the Eagles. Junior Sam Homick had a great game with three goals and two assists, along with eight ground balls. Langston Sheppard ‘18 was also a force for the Eagles, scoring three goals and one assist. Freshman Sammy Carter brought in two goals and one assist, while senior McKenzie Jenkins scored two goals and had two assists. 

In goal, sophoore Ben Robertson had six saves for the Eagles, and freshman Shaun Gerety stopped two. Freshman Ben Sturgell tipped play in the Eagles’ favor, gaining eight for 11 on face offs.

The Eagles defense was led by Michael Troese ‘18 who had eight ground balls. Senior DaVon Beckford and sophomore Ronan Fanning held Chapelgate to two goals through three quarters.

This brings the Eagles’ record to 7-2 overall, and 5-1 in conference. The team looks forward to taking on the undefeated Beth Tfiloh this Thursday. Go CREEK!
