2017 Summer Assignments

Summer is a great time to rest, relax, and recharge after a busy school year. It’s also the time when students can lose some of the important academic progress that they made during the previous school year. Summer assignments give you a way to stay sharp and come to school prepared from day one! To learn more about the “summer slide” and how little assignments over the summer can help you keep up when school starts, check out this article from Reading Rockets.

Grades 9-12

All assignments for rising ninth through twelfth grade students are available on an internet-based LiveBinder. You can find all summer assignments here.

Grades 7-8

All students are required to read at least four books that are each at least 100 in pages in length, and write a summary of one of those books on their Summer Reading Log

Optional Summer Math Work for Grades 7-8

Grades 1-6

First through fifth grade students have been sent an optional Reading and Writing log and an optional Math Packet to complete over the summer if they wish. 

First and Second Grade Reading and Writing Journal (Optional)

Third through Sixth Grade Reading and Writing Journal (Optional)

Please contact the Lower School Office for another copy of your summer math packet.

Pre-K and Kindergarten

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students do not have summer work requirements, but we have provided some optional summer enrichment suggestions below.
