CHris Mannis

Current board member and alumnus Chris Mannix ‘91 has been working with the School to select and implement a new phone system. We are setting up the Evergreen Campus portion at the start of school this year and will complete the project at the Upper School next summer. The phone system we have selected is expected to improve reliability and ease of use as well as provide many modern features lacking in our old system such as four digit dialing and transfers between campuses.

The Evergreen portion of the project that we are putting in place this year will also include new PA speakers both inside and outside the school as well as fiber optic cabling and other upgrades to improve our network. Thank you Chris and your company, Mid-Atlantic Control Systems, LLC.

Welcome Home to The Creek!

Everyone says that Indian Creek is a “family school,” and our alumni and alumni friends are an important part of that family. Whether you were among the School’s first nursery students or are a recent graduate of the Upper School, you are invited to join in alumni events, visit the campus, and share the news of your life with other Creekers.

Please take a moment to read these letters, one from Whitney Carroll, Class of 1995 and another from Nancy Lyons, mother of Elizabeth ‘00 and Katherine ‘12.  Join fellow alumni and parents of alumni in supporting ICS or, in Whitney’s words, in “supporting a place that will always feel like home.”

Stop in, call, text, stay in touch.  Remember your roots.

Classmates from 1994, Kate Mussenden Holquist, Christina Andrew and Nina Paradiso recently made time to come Home to The Creek!  They had an opportunity to meet and chat with our new head of school Dr. Rick Branson and tour the Upper School.  All three were most impressed with both our new leadership and our new campus and echoed each other in stating, “I wish the Upper School had been here when we were looking at high schools.”   We enjoyed a delightful lunch together and the gals agreed whole heartedly that Indian Creek gave them a firm foundation and a sense of family that remains strong today.  The sentiment expressed by Nina, “I want to give back to a place that gave so much to me” was repeated throughout the visit by both Christina and Kate.
