Indian Creek School is a full member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). NAIS has a mission “to be the national voice of independent schools and the center for collective action on their behalf.”




On the local level, Indian Creek is an accredited member of the Association of Independent Schools of Maryland and DC (AIMS MD-DC). AIMS MD-DC serves over 120 schools, providing professional development for teachers and administrators; accreditation services; public advocacy; strategic planning assistance; and policies and advisory statements that promote good practice.





Indian Creek School is certified as a Maryland Green School. The Maryland Green Schools program is nationally recognized as having significant impact with students and schools. The program encourages educational opportunities for preK-12 schools that increase awareness and understanding of environmental interrelationships that impact public health and our society, and that promote responsible environmental stewardship practices. The program is aligned with Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement 2014 goals and supports Maryland State Department of Education graduation requirements and standards. 





Indian Creek School is the recipient of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Safe Sports School award for its Eagles Athletice program. The award champions safety and recognizes secondary schools that provide safe environments for student athletes. The award reinforces the importance of providing the best level of care, injury prevention and treatment for student athletes.
